Musk comments on the possibility of a direct attack on Russia
American billionaire Elon Musk described the US leadership’s narrative about an “attack on Russia” as worrying.
This came in response to a statement by former US presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, in which he indicated that the Joe Biden administration and the “warmongers” faction from both the Republican and Democratic parties are no longer interested in their speeches in “defending” Ukraine as much as they are interested in waging a “large-scale war” on Russia.
“This is very worrying,” Musk wrote on his account on the social network “X”.
Last week, the US administration allowed the Ukrainians to use the weapons supplied to them against targets on Russian territory adjacent to the Kharkiv region, but kept in effect the ban on cross-border strikes deep into Russian territory using ATACMS tactical operational missiles and other long-range firearms.
Here, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday, during a meeting with media representatives in St. Petersburg, that supplying Kiev with Western weapons is a direct participation in the conflict, because the Ukrainian army cannot independently strike with ATACMS or Storm Shadow missiles. Putin did not rule out the possibility of supplying Russian weapons to parties hostile to the West so that strikes are directed at sensitive targets belonging to the countries that arm Ukraine.
