While the publishers commented by saying: "Found an amphibious cow", while research and investigation revealed that the clip is not real.
The video has garnered thousands of interactions on Facebook pages, amid comments of amazement at this "creature", and others mocking users who believed it was real.
The Truth About a Seal with a Cow's Head
According to Agence France-Presse: A search for the video after cutting it into still scenes shows that it was posted on an Instagram account whose owner identifies himself as a video designer.
The video was published on July 7, and clips of strange creatures such as a seal with a donkey's head or a fish with a pig's head were later published on the same account.

Journalists from Agence France-Presse's fact-checking service tried to contact the account owner to find out more details about these clips, but did not receive a response.
Non-existent creature
Following this, journalists from Agence France-Presse's fact-checking service contacted the head of the National Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries, Adel Ahmed, who commented on the published image by saying: "This creature is not real."
He continued: Creatures that live in aquatic environments have bodies that help them adapt to water, unlike the characteristics of the body shown in the video, especially at the head level.
He added: "Scientists cannot comment on the images of all the imaginary creatures that are circulating on social media, but that is not an argument to believe in the existence of creatures that defy the laws of nature."
