Steps to turn on silent mode for Google Pixel 2
If you recently got a Pixel 2 watch, you may want to link it to a Pixel phone, for better control of notifications and other features.

How to turn on Do Not Disturb on Pixel 2 watch
Silencing notifications on your Pixel 2 is easy with Do Not Disturb, the simplest way to silence your watch. When you turn it on, your watch stops vibrating and making sounds for all notifications except alarms and timers. However, you can allow calls from specific contacts. Or repeat callers.. Follow these steps to turn on the Do Not Disturb feature on the watch:
- Tap on the screen
- Swipe down from the top of the screen. This displays your quick settings.
- Find the DND icon, which is a circle with a horizontal line, and click on it.
- When DND mode is active, the icon appears on the watch face screen at the bottom.
Block notifications from certain apps
This is a more selective way to silence your watch.. You can choose which apps you want to receive notifications from and which apps you want to block.
First, make sure the Pixel 2 is paired with your phone. After that, install the Pixel Watch app if you don’t have it. Here’s what to do next:
- Open the Pixel Watch app on your phone.
- Within the application, go to the Settings section.
- Click on Notifications to enter the notification management screen.
- Select watch or phone apps and turn notifications on or off from each.
Theater mode on Apple Watch 2
Theater Mode prevents the screen from turning on when tilted or touched, and the watch does not ring to receive notifications. Your watch goes into a low power state, where the screen remains dark and silent until you press the power button or double-tap the screen. To activate Theater Mode, follow the steps next:
- Press the crown button or tap the screen.
- Swipe down from the top of the screen. This displays the quick settings for your watch.
- Find the Theater Mode icon on the right and tap on it.
- When Theater mode is active, the icon appears on the watch face screen.
Use voice commands to silence your smartwatch
If you want your watch to be silent at certain times, the Pixel 2 will meet your needs. For example, you can ask Google Assistant to stop the watch when you want it, and theater mode is activated during that.
