American media sources reported that the American authorities found explosives and explosive devices in the home and car of the perpetrator of the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump.

The Wall Street Journal confirmed on Sunday that explosive devices were found in the perpetrator's car, and the Associated Press reported that bomb-making materials were also found in his home.

The Wall Street Journal said, quoting unnamed sources, that "the car driven by the suspected shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, was parked near Trump's rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday."

The newspaper added that "the rifle used by Crooks was purchased by his father."

Crooks was killed at the scene by Trump's guards, and one person was killed and two others were injured as a result of the attack
