Mysterious crime in a Thai hotel .. Victims of American nationality

Thai police have begun investigating the deaths of six foreigners whose bodies were found in a room at a luxury hotel in Bangkok on Tuesday, while the search is still ongoing for a seventh person linked to the incident.

Thai police said on Wednesday that one of the six foreigners whose bodies were found in a hotel room in Bangkok on Tuesday was the perpetrator of the murder, explaining that blood tests showed traces of cyanide.

“We would like to confirm that one of the six dead was behind this incident using cyanide,” Bangkok Deputy Police Chief Nopasel Boonsawas, who is in charge of the investigation, told a news conference in the Thai capital.

“We are convinced that one of the six people found dead committed this crime,” he added.

The same official explained that the motive for the crime was related to debts.

On Tuesday, the bodies of six Vietnamese, two of whom were American citizens, were found in a hotel suite in the tourist center of Bangkok.

The mysterious circumstances of their deaths sparked several rumours, with media initially suggesting they were the result of gunfire, before investigators denied this.
