 13 police officers killed in an attack in western Mexico

At least 13 police officers were killed in an attack on the federal highway between the cities of Acapulco and Ciatenejo, Radio Formula reported.

The radio said, "As a result of an attack on members of the Coyuca municipal police, 13 policemen were killed. The attack occurred on the federal highway between Acapulco and Siatenejo."

Local media reported that among the dead was a female officer, in addition to the municipal police chief, and two other officers were injured.
