A strange marine animal that puzzles scientists

Scientists are baffled and eager to know more about a strange, mermaid-like animal that is said to have washed up on a beach in Papua New Guinea.

Pictures of an animal in the form of a white mass of flesh resembling a mermaid were shared on a Facebook page called New Irelanders Only

It was found by citizens on Cempiri Island in the Bismarck Sea in Papua New Guinea in recent days.

Experts are still unsure of the animal's true nature, but they believe it is more likely a marine creature than a mysterious being.

According to Live Science, the animal is known as a Globster and is an unidentified organic mass that washes up on shore.

It is difficult to determine the origin of these mysterious lumps because much of the body had rotted, and many body parts had fallen into the sea. In this case, most of the creature's head and large pieces of flesh are missing.

There is no accurate information about the size and weight of the animal because it was not measured properly before local residents buried it. No one collected DNA samples, making it almost impossible to correctly identify him, according to NDTV.
