Arsenal draws with Chelsea to maintain unbeaten record
Arsenal came back from two goals down to draw 2-2 with host Chelsea and maintain their unbeaten start in the English Premier League thanks to late goals from Declan Rice and Leandro Trossard, on Saturday.
Chelsea took the lead after a quarter of an hour from the start with a penalty kick through Cole Palmer after Arsenal defender William Saliba rose to block an attempt by Mykhailo Modric, but a header from the Ukrainian player hit his opponent’s hand, and the referee decided to award a penalty kick after reviewing the video technology.
Modric added the second goal for Chelsea 3 minutes after the end of the break when he put the ball into the upper right corner of the goal over the head of goalkeeper David Raya.
Both Raya and Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez committed errors during the exciting match, and a mistake by Sanchez caused Arsenal's first goal in the 76th minute through Rice, who grabbed the ball and sent it into the open goal.
Substitute Trossard silenced the crowd at Stamford Bridge with a brilliant shot after a perfect cross from Bukayo Saka in the 84th minute, giving his team a point and keeping them at the top of the standings.
