Pink skies terrify

Residents in the British county of Kent lived a terrifying day similar to horror movies, as they woke up at dawn to a pink sky, and some of them thought it might be “the end of the world.”

According to the report reported by the British newspaper Mirror, the color of the sky terrified the hearts of the residents of the Thanet area when they woke up early in the morning and discovered the pink color of the sky, and began to wonder what happened?! Pictures of pink skies began to spread widely on social media, with residents sharing them extensively.

However, the matter soon became clear and the reasons became clear, which were proven to be scientific and not natural.

The British newspaper explained that it became clear that the reason for the pink color of the sky, which “seemed like part of a science fiction movie,” was due to the nearby agricultural greenhouses, which are considered the largest in the country.

The Thanet Earth website said that about 400 million tomatoes, 30 million cucumbers, and 24 million peppers are produced annually in these greenhouses or greenhouses designated for agriculture.

The southeast was chosen for the large complex due to its long hours of sunlight, which benefits growing plants. However, British winters pose a great challenge, because plants need light, so artificial light alternatives are used during this time of year.

A Thanet Earth spokesperson explained: “As a responsible local business, we constantly monitor the way our actions impact the community around us and during certain weather conditions there will inevitably be some light reflecting off the sky, especially when there is low-density cloud cover above the ground.” ".
