Targeting an Egyptian watchtower and destroying 20,000 homes in Palestine
Today, one of the Egyptian border watchtowers was accidentally hit by fragments of a shell from an Israeli tank. Which resulted in minor injuries to some border control personnel, during the ongoing clashes in the Gaza Strip.
The military spokesman, Colonel Staff Colonel Gharib Abdel Hafez, said in a statement, “The Israeli side expressed its regret over the unintentional incident immediately after it occurred, and the circumstances of the incident are being investigated.”
The Palestinian Ministry of Public Works also documented, in a preliminary toll of Palestinian homes and facilities destroyed by the Israeli occupation in the ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip for the sixteenth day in a row, that the occupation forces destroyed more than twenty thousand residential units completely and 165 thousand residential units partially; Which caused 70% of the population of the Gaza Strip to leave their homes to shelter centers established by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees, UNRWA.
She pointed out that half of the homes in the Gaza Strip were directly damaged by the violent Israeli bombing of the Strip.
